Okutama Riverside Cafe Awa

It was an amazing experience for my friend and I as it was our first time. The guides were fantastic and really made you feel comfortable and enjoy the experience.

Only three items on their menu were available.It's a beautiful place but almost none of the items on their menu were available for order. Only two dishes which were basically a pile of undercooked roast beef one topped with wasabi and one with an egg, and fish and chips were available. They did not tell us this when we arrived, and we didn't find out until we tried to order.

Shout out to Toshi and Brodie for being amazing guides!!! Had the best time canyoning and riding with these amazing dudes! Recommend Big Holy!

A one of a kind experience!We felt at ease with the extremely friendly and highly knowledgeable staff. If you enjoy the outdoors and are looking for an enjoyable challenge near Tokyo, I highly recommend an outing with the Canyons crew. We will definitely be back for another adventure next year. Brodie and Keita went out of their way to make sure everyone on the tour had a great time. They also provided us with some pretty awesome photos!

I'm a beginner. But I loved it.. we took pack rafting .. Ismu san and mirichi san are really cool guides..

Set up by a fellow kiwi, I feel at home with a coffee and pavlova by a cool clear running river, Okutama Riverside Cafe Awa has a great location, simple but satisfactory menu. Not only is New Zealand classic pavlova a must but try the cafe's signature 'volcano' main dish ;-) I came again and enjoyed the curry and pancake with home made ice cream yummy! Please note new management of cafe so no more burger, now a really good deer meat volcano and service is faster but limited by lack of available staff in remote location.

I hope to rate it 2.5 stars. I joined Canyons tour twice level 1-2 & 3... all the levels 1-3 are bullsh*t. All are the same course. The difference are it gets expensive each time. To sum up in simply, I got charged the same lunch for twice. But, the instructors are very friendly and nice with good humor. The 2.5stars are given to the instructors. Good job!
